It may still be August and monsooning here in the Valley, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start looking forward to cooler evenings, pumpkin-spiced everything, and a lineup of fall activities that make living in Arizona extra fun this time of year.
Even though sweater weather might still be a ways off, planning your fall calendar now means you’ll be ready to enjoy every minute once the triple digits finally ease up. Here are six can’t-miss fall events happening across the Valley and beyond.
1. Pumpkin Fest at the Princess – Scottsdale

Weekdays (Mon–Thu): 5–9 PM | Weekends (Fri–Sun): 4–10 PM | Extended Hours Oct 10–18: 10 AM–2 PM & 4–10 PM
The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess transforms into a fall wonderland during Pumpkin Fest. Stroll through larger-than-life pumpkin displays, enjoy carnival-style rides, indulge in seasonal treats, and catch live entertainment. Families love the hay maze and games for kids, while adults can sip fall-inspired cocktails at themed bars.
2. Mortimer Farms Pumpkin Fest & Corn Maze – Dewey
September 26 – October 31, 2025
Head north to Dewey for a full-on farm fall experience. Mortimer Farms offers a huge pumpkin patch, a challenging (and Instagram-worthy) corn maze, live entertainment, hayrides, farm-fresh food, and fun activities for all ages. It’s worth the day trip for cooler temps and small-town charm.
3. Schnepf Farms Pumpkin & Chili Party – Queen Creek
October 2 – October 31, 2025 (Thurs–Sun)
This fall tradition is a staple in the Valley. Schnepf Farms goes all out with hayrides, carnival rides, a petting zoo, live music, the famous chili dinner, and of course—plenty of pumpkins. Their corn maze is a must-try, and it’s a great way to make a full evening of fun for the whole family.
4. Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market – Scottsdale
September 12-14
If your idea of fall fun includes cozy home décor and one-of-a-kind finds, Junk in the Trunk is your treasure hunt. This massive vintage market features hundreds of vendors offering antique furniture, handmade goods, art, clothing, and seasonal décor to get your home autumn-ready.
5. Four Peaks Oktoberfest at Tempe Town Lake – Tempe
October 10–12, 2025
Celebrating its 52nd year, Four Peaks Oktoberfest is a lively Bavarian-style festival with a unique Arizona twist. You’ll find live music on multiple stages, authentic German fare, Four Peaks craft beers, brat-eating contests, stein-holding competitions, and the ever-popular dachshund races. This is a great event for friends, families, and anyone looking to experience Tempe at its most festive.
